About the area

Each Summer the Utah Shakespeare Festival in Cedar City offering six plays. These are performed in the outdoor Adams Shakespearean theater, which was built to resemble Shakespeare's Globe Theater and the indoor Randall L Jones theater. While you are in town for this event you might want to visit and tour Cedar Breaks National monument. This canyon is said to resemble Bryce Canyon and its colors are so vivid to have led Indians to call it the "Circle of Painted Cliffs." Bring your cameras or just spend the day hiking, picnicking or camping.
