About the area |
The first settlers came to this area around 1851. The recreational facilities in Nephi include a municipal swimming pool and a ballfield. Visitors to this city might be interested in the Mt. Nebo Scenic loop which passes through the Uinta National Forest from Nephi to the city of Payson. This roadway will take you to Mt. Nebo with views from several overlooks. There are campgrounds, trailheads and horseback riding areas along the way. The Annual Ute Stampede rodeo is held in Nephi in July. The rodeo offers specialty acts daily and fireworks each evening of this 3 day event. |
