About the area |
This city has much to see and enjoy including the Mormon Tabernacle and many venues for the arts. There is the Leonardo museum, Utah Museum of Contemporary Art, Discovery Gateway museum, Capitol theater, the Rose Wagner Performing Arts center, the Off Broadway theatre, Pioneer Theatre company and the Utah Museum of Fine Arts to name a few. Recently this city has seen the return of streetcars. The city has more than 125 individual parks covering almost 1000 acres and close to 60 municipal playgrounds. The Utah opera presents a series of four operatic performances each year at the Janet Quinney Lawson Capitol theater. |
