The Valley regional Softball complex lies at the South end of Valley Regional park and Taylorsville Recreation center lies at its North end. Valley Regional park has a slew of facilities for recreational use such as a pavilion which can seat 130, a playground, a volleyball sand court, basketball courts, combination baseball/softball fields, horseshoe courts and an eighteen hole disc golf course. The recreation center is equipped with a fitness room, rock wall, batting cages and an outdoor pool. There are number of trails and other parks in this town; some of which are owned by Salt Lake county and Utah state. The Taylorsville/Bennion Heritage center is a museum, located in the home formerly owned by the Jones family, which has on display 19th century furnishings, an antique Sonora Victrola, a claw foot bathtub, pull chain water closet and an old coal stove. Taylorsville sponsors a unique annual event the Urban Cart Dart which is an adventure run, treasure hunt and food drive in one event.
