About the area |
Park City might very well be considered the ski capital of Utah with three major ski resorts located here. Skiers and other visitors coming to this city will find plenty of cultural activities to keep them busy. The world famous Sundance Film festival takes place here at the end of JanuaryThe Park City Kimball Arts festival at the beginning of August showcases canvases, prints, jewelry and sculpture created by local artists and designers as well as those of artists from many states and Canada. As many as 30 live bands perform at this festival and food is available from Park City's restaurants. Throughout the year residents and visitors can take in theater, concert and dance performances at the Eccles center or the Egyptian theatre. You should try to attend performances of the Utah Symphony and Utah Opera at the The Deer Valley Music festival during the Summer. Performances take place at the Deer Valley Snow Park Amphitheater, St. Mary's Church, Temple Har Shalom, and salons in private homes in the Park City area. |
