About the area |
In this town, where in the 1870's settlers raised livestock and carried on logging and farming, you can walk out your door and see wildlife; apparently it has a problem with the number of deer in town. The Mapleton City Community center is available through rental for different events from weddings to business meetings. The city parks offer several amenities for recreational purpose. Mapleton City park, North park, Harvest park, Ira Allan Sports park, Eagle Rock park and Wing Pointe park among them have such facilities as pavilions, tennis courts, baseball diamonds, a batting cage, a gazebo, a volleyball pit, childrenâs playgrounds, multi-use fields, a walking trail and picnic tables. |
