| About the area |
The City of Orem came into being at the end of the second decade of the 20th century and is therefore a relatively new city. It was named after the president of the Salt Lake and Utah railroad. Orem created a great structure for the recreational needs of its residents. The Orem fitness center has such facilities as a swimming pool multi-purpose room which also serves as a basketball gym, racquetball and wallyball courts, weight room, cardio equipment area, an aerobics and dance studio, spin room with indoor stationary cycling and an indoor track. The Scera pool is equipped with a lap poll and dive tank, dual slide and plunge pool, 2 slides, a current channel, observation bubble couch, leisure pool and splash pad. In addition to all of that Orem has 18 parks including a skate park.
