About the area
Springville has been named as one of the of best small cities in America by Nerdwallet. Residents look forward to the Summer when they can enjoy the Springville Playhouse productions held in June. Summer is also the time for the Movies in the Park series held in Spring Acres Arts Park on Monday nights. Unfortunately the Sunday Concert series is not held during the Summer but this free series is presented one Sunday a month during the rest of the year at the Springville Museum of Art Grand gallery. The museum has a collection of 150 years of Utah art, twentieth-century Soviet Realist art and American art. In addition it holds juried shows of contemporary Utah art. Rotating exhibitions are put on continually which might include the Soviet Union era, the Annual Utah All-State High School Art show, Portraits of Childhood and the annual Utah Quilt show. There are plenty of other items to entertain residents as well as visitors. The annual Springville World Folkfest features traditional folk dance and music from performed by entertainers from countries around the world in their native costumes.
