About the area |
Each August this town celebrates its start way back in 1850, with the building of its first house, with the celebration of Heritage Days. After disagreements with the Shoshones Indian Tribe were settled, the settlers received a charter and grant to take water from the Ogden River in the fall of 1855. Two of the three parks in Harrisville have walking tracks. Additionally there is playground equipment and a splash pad in the town's main park. The bowery or leafy sheltered area in the main park may be rented for any event. The Martin Henderson Harris Bicentennial Park has within it a cabin a kitchen facility and restrooms and is available for family events or reunions.
