Riverdale Justice Court

SR 26 cuts through town to meet both IS 15 and IS 84 in the Western part of town.

One of the first settlers in the area around 1848 built a sawmill producing lumber from the cottonwood trees which were used in the construction of the town's early homes, barns and businesses. After a fire destroyed a part of the mill around 1851, the settler and his sons erected a grist mill of rock and heavy timbers on the East side of the Weber River. This later, through a change of ownership, became Taylor’s Mill and later on the Associated Farmers’ Milling company and then the All-O-Wheat Cereal Company. After a lifetime as a producer of breakfast cereals, wheat products and animal feed; the mill's operations were terminated around the 1980's and it was demolished in late 1997. A miniature replica of the All-O-Wheat building can be seen at the Civic Center. In the Summer of 1999, a section of the Davis-Weber Canal gave way sending thousands of gallons of water and mud down onto the homes below. Today little sign of the mud that once covered the flooded neighborhoods remains except for the newly formed canyon where the break occurred. The Riverdale Community center's facilities include meeting rooms, an exercise room am and large gymnasium with basketball courts.
