About the area |
The community of South Ogden started back around 1848 when land here was bought from Mexico by the United States. It was first known as Burch Creek for one of the first pioneers to settle here. It was not incorporated as South Ogden around 1936. The annual South Ogden Days celebration is a week long festival held in June. The events at this festival include concerts and performances as a well as a South Ogden's got talent competition at the Nature park amphitheater, a Music Experience at the tent in Friendship park, Rock'N Rods car and motorcycle show, a carnival, movie in the park, a parade and a Mud Volleyball tournament. |
