About the area |
When housing was needed for the many government workers who came to this area in the 1940's; temporary housing was set up here. After World War II many workers wanted to stay on and the temporary housing was converted to private homes to establish the town of Washington Terrace. To celebrate this beginning each June the Terrace Days festival is held. At this event you can sit back and enjoy Movie in the Park, the family community bike ride, parade, car show display, baseball championships, dog race and show and firework show after the band concert. The town now has an area of about 4 square miles and nearly 10,000 residents. |

This court meets every Wednesday at 2:30 P.M. for trials and 4:30 P.M. at Washington Terrace City Hall in the Council Chambers. |
