Warm Springs Magistrate

Warm Springs Magistrate serves Bath county in the Twenty-Fifth judicial district of Virginia.

When you see the name of the county and the name of this city, you get the idea and you would be right; this place is known for its warm mineral springs. Thomas Jefferson, in his old age, came to take advantage of the healing waters at the Gentlemen's Spa around 1818. Eighteen years later a women's spa was built at what is now known as the Jefferson Pools. While you are here enjoying the waters you might want to hear some great music at Garth Newel Music center in Hot Springs, a short distance to the Southeast on US 220. This facility really puts it on, presenting more than 50 concerts during the year, ranging from classical to jazz, blues and traditional music. You can also enjoy a a gourmet meal here. During the 18th century European colonists found their way to this county as a retreat and a place for rejuvenation for European colonists, eventually leading to the establishment of the Homestead resort in 1766.
