About the area

This is a definite do not blink or you will miss it place. Barely 5000 residents with literally one stop light. Craig County is a 30 minute drive from Interstate 81. With little or no industry to speak of, this town is mainly a place to hang a hat after working in any of the outlying areas. So it goes without saying that crime is basically zero, except for a handful of car thefts, or a bored drunk. Craig is also on the West Virginia border, up the hill from Roanoke.
