There are two structures in New Castle which mimic the log buildings that existed long ago. The Keffer 2-story log house was recently rebuilt and had a fake outhouse added. The Hawkins-Brizendine Cabin was built of logs from the funeral home from the Hawkins homeplace. The cabins can be visited on Fridays 1 to 4 PM from April through November.
