About the area

Rocky Mount is a small town with about 4000 people. Nearby Boones Mill is much smaller, with less than 300. The two are connected by the Virgil H Goode Highway, named for the former congressman and 2012 Constitution Party candidate for President.
While it's a quiet area, it's close enough to Roanoke to send smoke signals. Greensboro is further than a tobacco spit but still not too far to drive.
