Galax Magistrate

Galax Magistrate is infrequently staffed and on those occasions when there is no staff present here; hearings may be held at the Montgomery location in Christiansburg or the Pulaski office in Dublin which are fully staffed.

In this city sometimes known as the "The World Capital of Old Time Mountain Music." there is a showplace the Rex Theater from which the Blue Ridge Backroads is broadcast every Friday night bringing live old-time and bluegrass music to nearby states. If you are lucky enough you will be occupying one of the seats in this theater during the broadcasts. The city's recreational facilities offer a lot in the Galax Recreation center, Felts park, Knob Hill playground, Mountain View Recreation park and Skate park. Together these facilities offer places to swim, walk, play tennis, play soccer, play baseball or softball on fields with a covered grandstand, play volleyball, have a picnic, use those skate boards or just relax.
