About the area
The Pamunkey Indian museum, located on the Pamunkey Indian Reservation has exhibits displaying tools, pottery, clothing and other items of this tribe from the Ice Age to the present. Women of this tribe still make pottery in their centuries-old manner which are on display and for sale at the museum. The King William Historical museum also has some interesting exhibits. There are African American, Colonial and Native American artifacts; a time line displaying artifacts that represent different points in the span of 400 years from 1607 to the present; an Aylett port scene and a King William mural on which are shown homes on the National Registry and locations of Virginia Historical markers. After seeing the mural you might to visit some of these places in this inviting county.
