About the area

Originally part of Brunswick County, Lunengerg was formed when Brunswick was divided into two counties. Territory from Lunenburg was later taken from it to form other counties such as Charlotte leading to the county to being called "Mother of Counties". This area has not one but three community centers; Victoria-Lunenburg, Dundas Ruritan House and Peoples which provide skating, dancing, aerobics as well as other activities. The city also has two municipal parks with illuminated ballfields and picnic areas.
