About the area |
There are two festivals in this town at which residents and visitors alike get to taste some goodies. The annual Strawberry Festival is held in the Spring in the uptown area of town where two streets are listed National Register of Historic Places. Besides the strawberries being sold by local farmers and the arts and crafts you can get your chance at various baked items made from strawberries. You might even get a chance to taste the product of the Strawberry bake-of winner. Look to the downtown area of town for the annual Apple Dumpling festival in the Fall. In this historic "Depot" area, a couple of local and outside band will entertain you while you latch on to apple pies, apple butter or one or more of Stuart's famous apple dumplings. |
