Located in the Shenandoah Valley, the County of Frederick is the proud home of this independent city, which is also its county seat. The position and topography of Winchester, gave this city a very important role in many stages and battles of the Civil War; not only with its territory, but also on the surrounding areas. On more recent news, this community is the organizer of the Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival, this event has a parade full of color and music. The celebration and coronation at the festival bring more than a quarter of million people yearly to this zone.
