We imagine that bootlegging was big business in the area, and the Orleans Superior Court had its hands full with boats coming down Lake Memphremagog down Canada. Dozens of cases were probably dismissed just because the lake's name had been misspelled. Nowadays the smugglers are probably bringing illegal aliens and they just take Beebe Road and Route 5 to I-91.
