Pasco has experienced tremendous growth in the last ten years. As a result , even though the crime rate has gone down, calls for service from Pasco citizens has doubled. Police officers have been added with the resultant additional court filings. The courtrooms and the jails are no longer sufficient. Hopefully the citizens will approve a sales tax increase to finance the construction of a larger jail, larger police station and an additional courtroom. So in this town as elsewhere they are experiencing growing pains. Tri-Cities Airport in Pasco , which was the site of the first air mail contract flight between Elko, Nevada and Pasco, Washington, is the third largest commercial air carrier airport in Washington State and is served by several airlines. |
