About the area |
Westport Light State Park is a 212-acre park on the shore of the Pacific Ocean which offers a panoramic view of the sea. The historic Westport Lighthouse is adjacent to the park. The park is for day use but has a beach which may be used for improvised games; swimming in the ocean is not advised due to variable currents or rip tides. There is ahiking trail, which is a concrete boardwalk along the beach. The World Class Crab Races & Feed is held each year in April. Come watch people race live crabs to the finish line for prizes then enjoy a crab feed. |
