About the area

1870 saw the filing of land claims by settlers in the area after the relocation of the Sammamish Indian tribe. The population here grew by leaps and bounds after World War II.Bothell is home to a branch of the University of Washington and Cascadia Community College. Country Village Shopping Center has a homespun flavor to it puctuated by the giant chicken at the entrance. Truly a sight to behold.
