About the area |
If you are a child of the1930's or the 1940's; you will remember Carnation evaporated milk. The milk was added to coffee and other food products. Kent was the home of Carnation milk until the demand dwindled in the middle of the 20th century. The Carnation Farm is still outside of Seattle. Since the Nestlé corporation swallowed The Carnation company (yum!); its Regional Training Center is located at the farm.
