Don't be fooled; bench briefs relating to Newport Superior Court should be mailed to Court Administrator Evelyn Bell at the Stevens County Superior Court at 215 South Oak St. Rm. 209, Colville, 99114-2862. Well, that's what we hear.

About the area

There are benches throughout the city and wide sidewalks making Newport a walker friendly city. Stores in the downtown area were recently restored to give them the look of years ago. A historic train depot, which has gone the way of all train depots when the old railroads were abandoned, is now the County Historical museum.
