Stevenson is a hiker's paradise. There are trails for the beginer as well as the experienced and those with stamina.Try the family-friendly trails, looping through woods and wildflowers. You won't want to miss a hike to Beacon Rock a 848 ft. extinct volcano core with a stunning vista of the Columbia River Gorge. For a real challenge, head for Dog Mountain. A 2,400 ft. elevation rise in just 3.5 miles will test the hardiest of folks. The name is well given; it's a dog of a hike. |
