Several activities are going on in Airway Heights. A recently renovated race track is now the Spokane Motorsports park. However don't get too excited. No long term operator or schedule exists at this time.
Work has started on the Geiger Spur improvement. This spur provides a freight transportation link for
Airway Heights. The Northern Quest casino, operated by a local Indian Tribe, is now open and available for those who have money to burn. Fairchild AFB base to the Southwest of the town is an important part of the Air Refueling Wing of the Air Force. Spokane International airport is located to the Southeast of the town. This airport is serviced by the major air carriers providing flights to cities throughout the U.S. and Canada.
