About the area |
The apple orchards surrounding Deer Park are the result of replacement of the lumber fields in the early 1900's when the lumber industry fizzled. Sure smells good when all those apples appear. The city owned Deer Park airport can accomodate fairly large aircraft with its 2 runways of 6100 feet and 3200 feet in length. Deer Park Golf club, which is open to the public offers 18 holes over 6751 yards of bluegrass fairways. |
