About the area |
The Henderson House Museum reflects the history of the city in the early 2oth century; when Tumwater blossomed from a tiny pioneer village into a very promising town with electric streetcars, a railroad spur and a highly successful brewery at the foot of Tumwater Falls. The house was built near the lower Tumwater Falls for a brewmaster at the new brewery. The city has an extensive trailway system and is planning future trail construction to encourage healthy physical activity through walking.
