About the area |
This is a young village established in 1927. Frank Lloyd Wright designed the Meeting House of the First Unitarian Society, which is in the shape of hands hald together. At the Blackhawk Country Club there are mounds from the "Mounds Building People" dating from between 500 and 1500 A.D. The skating rink is named for the Heiden family - Eric and Beth were Olympic winners in 1980 for speed skating. |
