About the area |
Named for Marie Antoinette Chevalier (Queen Marinette), French and Native American common law-wife of fur trader William Farnsworth. She ran a trading post. Marinette is the county seat and is on the Menomenee River Basin. US 41 and Wisconsin routes 64 and 180 serve the community. Many industries here from ship building and helicopters to paper making. Skilled workers welcome. |
