If you are in Wellsburg in October try to come to the annual West Virginia Applefest. At this festival you can find all things apple such as apple butter, apple pies and fritters and hot or cold apple cider. There is plenty of other food for sale at this event including roast beef and steak sandwiches, gyros, fried onions and other vegetables, kettle corn, cotton candy and ice cream. Live entertainment is provided as well as a
pageant at which an Applefest queen and princess will be chosen.
