About the area |
The annual West Virginia State Folk festival starts on the Third Thursday in June. The festival features old-time music, traditional square dancing under the stars and Appalachian arts and crafts. There are also children's activities, a quilt show, jam sessions on the streets, music concerts and workshops and banjo and fiddle contests. Saturday is the day for the parade with the antique cars and the Folk Festival Belles in Pioneer costume and its all admission free. |
