About the area |
The South Charleston museum is an unusual institution in that it shows new and rare West Virginia films including the world premieres of landmark films about the region and state. It also has Belgium and chemical artifacts and a Belgian Glassworker display. The museum sponsors an annual Belgian Festival in mid July to celebrate South Charleston's Belgian heritage. This event features an open-air market, with crafts, foods and flowers for sale as well as a Belgium history booth and film festival. |
