If you want to take home a memento of Summersville, that will keep you warm on a cold winter night; come to the annual five day West Virginia Quilt festival held in June at the Summersville.Arena and Conference center. There is judging for prizes in the different categories and vendors with a varied selection just waiting for your purchase. The Arena & Conference Center is approximately 73,000 square foot of multi-use space constructed to serve the City of Summersville and the West Virginia Army National Guard. The close to 24,000 square foot main arena has almost 2,000 seats for basketball games and 2,400 seats for a staged event all of which collapse and retract to create an open area for multiple uses. The convention area is a large multi-purpose area which can be partitioned into six separate smaller rooms. |
