About the area |
The Oglebay Resort, located here, offers visitors many diversions for their entertainment. The Crispin Golf Course is over 5600 yards long and is a challenge to players of all levels. There are both indoor and outdoor swimming pools here. The Good Zoo and Benedum Theater has sights and sounds to delight both young and old. Many rare or endangered animals are among the over 50 species on exhibit here. These exhibits include the Outback exhibit, Lorikeet Landing, the African wild dogs, meerkats, spectacled bears, lemurs, ocelot, red pandas, river otters and the Wonders of the Wetlands area. You can hitch a ride on the historic C.P. Huntington Train Ride to the red barn where you will find domestic animals such as llamas, pigs, goats and donkeys. Go to the Benedum theater to see exciting laser shows or visit the zoo's large 0-gauge model train display. |
