About the area |
Originally known as Cranberry summit, the town of Terra Alta was first chartered as Portland around 1860 and incorporated 30 years later under its present name. Alpine Lodge is a large popular winter and summer resort near the city which has facilities for Fishing, hunting, boating, swimming, skiing and golf with cabins and camping available for lodging. |
