Harrisville Circuit Court is the Third Circuit Court of Ritchie County in the Judicial Circuit Court system of West Virginia.

About the area

Just a few miles West of Harrisville there is a great area for outdoor recreational activities; North Bend State Park. This park is the site of the North Bend Rail Trail. This was a railroad line which was converted into a trail that runs about 72 miles between Clarksburg, WV and Parkersburg, WV. and is suitable for hiking, bicycling and horseback riding. There are three bodies of water in the park which are especially attractive to fishermen. There is a newly constructed lake which has a variety of fish in it, the Hughes river, which has bluegill and bass fishing and a pond with large catfish and bluegill. Bring your tents or RV's, you are more than welcome here, or stay in one of the cabins or rooms which are part of the park's lodge. You can also just relax and watch the whitetail deer and red and gray squirrels which run throughout the park.
