About the area

For foot stomping and finger snapping nothing beats the Pickin' in Parsons bluegrass festival held at the beginning of August each year. This event, which is held at the Five River campground, features as many as 15 solo performers and groups all playing their own special music. Camp sites are on a first come, first serve basis and are equipped with city water, electrical service, expanded cable TV, wireless internet, city sewage and garbage service.
