Just West of Cowen, Big Ditch lake is located in the Big Ditch Wildlife Management area. The lake is man made inside this close to 400 acre park area. There are picnic facilities, foot trails, pit toilets, drinking water and boat launching facilities here; however only electric motors are allowed. For anglers the park and lake are worth the visit. The lake is a a warmwater fishery for largemouth bass, tiger musky, black crappie, bluegill, green sunfish, channel catfish and carp. Best of all, there are artificial fish attractors in the lake which have been marked for fisherman use. |
