Law Resources & Legal Search Engines on the Web

Finding statutes and cases on the web, plus other resources ...

By Warren Redlich

Being a lawyer isn’t easy – not with all of the case law you’re required to know. To make things even more difficult, lawyers have to know not only state and federal laws – which can sometimes contradict or override each other – but they also have to be able to cite real verdicts when making their arguments. Finding these cases or laws can sometimes be difficult especially with a very crowded Internet. Going through non-specific search engines can be a waste of time, so here’s a list of law resources and legal search engines on the web.

Federal Law/Federal Courts

State Law/State Courts

Legal Services Listings/Attorney Directories

Tax Law

Law Enforcement

Legal Dictionaries
