Speeding tickets in Broome County can be tricky. Not too long ago some workers will killed in work zone accidents. Since then the DA's office has gotten a bit tougher on speeds. There are two problem situations.

First, work zone speeds can be rough. In some situations the offer may be simply to plead guilty. In others they may agree only to a small reduction in the speed.

Second, high speeds are also touchy. You may encounter a prosecutor or judge who is not happy about the high speed and insists on either no deal or a very poor deal for your client. 

So be careful with speeding tickets there. And drive slow.
