There are many historic places to visit in Elizabethton. The Doe River Cover Bridge was built in 1882 and one of the oldest ones to be still around. It is a nice place and right adjacent to it is the John and Landen Carter Mansion. It was built in the mid Seventeenth century and still its detailed interior decoration. Also the Doe River has several entertainment options for you.
