There are 13 district courts in the Eighth Judicial district of Minnesota of which Meeker County court is one. The major roads in Meeker county are US 12, SR 7, SR 15, SR 22, SR 24, SR 55 with US 12 and SR 22 running together through the city of Litchfield.

The city of Litchfield has quite a few parks dedicated to providing recreational opportunities for its residents; whether they be ballfields, gardens, little league fields, a bandshell site, playgrounds, horseshoe courts, picnic areas, a trailer camping ground, a nature center or just open areas for free play. Minnesota Rubber & Plastics has a Plant in Litchfield which has been expanding to provide many employment opportunities for its more than 6500 residents. Lake Ripley, Located on the south side of Litchfield, has a campground, shelters, Anderson Gardens, volleyball and play areas. The Litchfield Watercade is held here each year on the weekend after the Fourth of July holiday.
