Hubbard County Court is one of the district courts in the Ninth Judicial District of Minnesota. US Hway. 71 and State Road 34 meet in Park Rapids. Besides that the other major roads in Hubbard county are SR’s 64, 87, 200 and 226.

Three large lakes lie to the North of Park Rapids; Fish Hook lake(which doesn’t look like one), Potatoe lake (which doesn’t look like one either) and Portage lake. Guess someone thought they looked like their names. To the East is Long lake and it is one. With the many lakes in the area; visitors have come to know Park Rapids as the gateway to the Mississippi River Headwaters at Itasca State Park which is about 20 miles north of Park Rapids. Many of the visitors who arrive to enjoy the park can come in to Park Rapids Municipal airport. This publically owned airport has a good asphalt runway close to 5500 feet in length and a second turf runway about 3300 feet in length.
