ABOUT THE AREA
When you enter the city of Gainesboro and pass midtown one of the immediate things that comes to your notice and stands like a façade right in front of you is the county court house. The beautiful sandstone building was built in early 18th century and has stood testimony to several events that took place over centuries. Today it is a historic site and is preserved by the National Historic Society.
