ABOUT THE AREA
Daniel Boone Wilderness Trail is a very beautiful historic and a scenic route to take. It was made by Daniel Boone in 1775 and the Trail started in Long island which is also located in Kingsport. It comes all the way through Southern Virginia and the Cumberland Gap. Several settlers took this route to get into the South from the west. One of the first people to discover the Cumberland area was actually slaves.
