US 11 zig-zags through Livingston where it meets SR 28.

Livingston is home to the University of West Alabama and its Tiger Stadium. This university offers undergraduate degrees in Business, Liberal Arts and the Natural Sciences and Mathematics as well as undergraduate and graduate degrees in Education. The Division of Nursing offers a nursing program with individualized instruction, a variety of health settings and an associate degree program. On Courthouse Square you can find the artisan well known as the Bored Well. This well dug in the 1850' progressed from a mule pulling an auger around to a hand pump to an electric pump. The Chinese pagoda which originally stood over the well was replaced by the present pavilion in the the 1920's. The well was known as a health spa and the mineral water was bottled and shipped to various parts of the county.
